1# Source origins

3The native host is reshaped from Tessera's `feat/sway-replacement` branch at

4`be7f8c7b5143d7313d64c10aacafdd8dfd4e4127`. Tessera's native owner thread,

5copying queues, scene-buffer presentation and configure/commit separation supply

6the starting mechanisms. Window management decisions are implemented in Sigil.

8The optional text renderer is ported from Tessera's `feat/text-layer` branch at

9`ad7818dfe7e8c9507c5b3f3ff960a6ea7c147f47`. It uses sigil-cairo,

10sigil-harfbuzz, sigil-freetype and sigil-fontconfig without changing those libraries.

11The core native library does not link them.

13David Wilson's contributions are licensed under BSD-3-Clause. The original

14wlroots example portions retain the MIT notice in `src/c/host.c`.

16The optional legacy-decoration client fixture uses

17`test/protocol/server-decoration.xml`, licensed LGPL-2.1-or-later with its

18original notice retained. Its generated client bindings are used only by the

19protocol test executable; the native host uses wlroots' public decoration API.

21`protocol/wlr-foreign-toplevel-management-unstable-v1.xml` is copied unchanged

22from wlroots 0.19.3, retaining Ilia Bozhinov's original permission notice. Its

23generated client bindings are used by the taskbar fixture; production uses the

24wlroots public foreign-toplevel APIs. The ext list client bindings are generated

25from the installed wayland-protocols staging XML.

27`protocol/wlr-gamma-control-unstable-v1.xml` is copied unchanged from

28gammastep v2.0.11's `src/gamma-control.xml`, with Giulio Camuffo and Simon Ser's

29permission notice retained. The source is

31Its generated bindings are used only by the one-shot gamma protocol fixture.
