v0.11.4
sigil-graphics draws through sigil-desktop and links no libGL
Notes
A game built with this release, sigil-desktop 0.10 and sigil-audio 0.12.2 has libm and libc as its only shared libraries; the GL entry points sokol_gfx calls are loaded through the window's context at gfx-setup. The Sigil API is unchanged.
Changes
- The window package is sigil-desktop 0.10 (sigil-app rebuilt on GLFW), pinned as name: "sigil-desktop" at the old URL until the repository rename.
- sokol_gfx runs with an external GL loader on every native target: src/c/gl_native_loader.h, generated from the vendored sokol_gfx.h by scripts/gen-gl-loader.sh. No GL headers are needed to build; Linux links nothing (was -lGL); macOS drops Metal and MetalKit.
- sokol_glue.h and the sokol_app.h include are gone; the swapchain comes from sigil-desktop's framebuffer size with the same formats as before. sokol_log's implementation lives here now.
- gfx-setup raises "no OpenGL context" when called outside app-run instead of crashing inside sokol.
- manifest.scm lists the GLFW compile-time headers and drops libglvnd, whose vendorless libGLX.so.0 breaks GLFW's GLX on Guix.
Upgrade notes
Put name: "sigil-desktop" on your own window dependency line (a line without it beside this release installs the repository twice), relock, delete build/ once, rebuild. test/test-shader-limits gains verify-wl.mjs, the same assertions under a headless sway.
